Swine Flu Precautions
As the end of the school year approaches Flamingo Bowl has many reservations for school field trips. We understand that some teachers and parents may be concerned about this current situation and we want to assure you that we are taking every precaution available. All house shoes and house bowling balls are being disinfected on a daily basis as well as all our indoor furniture and any other surface that our customers come into contact with. H.I.P. Party
Flamingo Bowl will be introducing a new concept aimed specifically at those that work in the hospitality industry later this month. It will be a monthly event that will only be available to people that work in the service industry such as restaurants and hotels. Friends and family are allowed in the center during this time, but guests must be 18 and older. The first event will be held February 23, 2009 from 11 PM to 1 AM and the cost is only $8 per person for two hours of unlimited bowling including shoe rental. Specials on food and drinks will be available all night along with a live DJ and lots of cool prizes! Call us for more information or just swing by on the 23rd to see what it's all about! Bowl With the Bees
Our annual Bowl With the Bees event will be held on February 25, 2009 from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. There will be a 30 minute meet and greet session followed by two hours of bowling with your Killer Bees. As you may have already noticed our website has undergone some changes recently. We have tried to simplify the design and make it easier to navigate. All our information that we had on here before is still on our site but the page may have been renamed or it may no longer be in the main menu. We are happy to announce that we will continue providing all league standings online, free of charge to all our bowlers again this year. Just click on the league button at the top of the page and then click on your league for more information. New Specials Announced for 2008
Flamingo Bowl just released the information on their two new specials for 2008. Although they are only minor changes to the old specials they are definitely packed with savings. Quarter Mania returns on Wednesday nights but it now also includes $1 beer, $1 hot dogs, $1 sodas, and $1 fries. This special requires everyone wanting to receive the special prices to pay a registration fee at the front counter. All games will also continue to be 25 cents. The special runs every Wednesday from 8 pm until 11 pm! The second special is the Bowl Your Brains Out, which now includes new days and times. Sunday has been added to this special so come out and bowl every Sunday night from 9 pm to 11 pm for only $7 per person. On Thursdays the hours have been extended and you can now bowl for 2 hours anytime between 9 pm and 12 am. Check out our specials page for more information! [Jan 1, 2008]
Now Open Until 12 am Thursdays
Starting on January 3, 2008 Flamingo Bowl will now remain open until 12:00 am on Thursday nights. As always though please call before heading to the center to make sure we are still offering more games, usually one hour before closing time!
Online Reservation System Coming Soon

Flamingo Bowl is proud to present our new gift cards. These gift cards will be available for purchase later this month and the bowling center and will be available online early in 2008. We are very excited to bring this great feature to our center and we hope you enjoy it as well. Flamingo Bowl Now Smoke Free
Due to the City of McAllen ordinance we are now smoke free. The non smoking issue is a great thing for the smaller children, but it can pose issues in a bowling center. Since everyone who smokes must now go outside we ask that you remember to take off your bowling shoes when you do. If you do not change into your personal shoes you may pick up foreign materials from outside and when you come back to bowl you may get hurt. We are working with the city to resolve some of these issues so please be patient. [Nov 6, 2007]

Flamingo Bowl Undergoes Interior Improvements
Flamingo Bowl has undergone several changes during the summer months. We have redone all our pillars and outfitted them with a sleek modern look. All trash cans have been replaced with more modern stainless steel cans. We have added our new bar The Split behind lanes 9 and 10. The entry way has been redone with tile and carpet. We will be improving more of our interior as time goes by and we want to apologize for any inconvenience. [Sep 28, 2007]
